How it works
This is a gas-only geyser with a single automatic gas kit. The kit’s thermostat turns the burner up when the water cools and cuts it back when the set temperature is reached. That saves gas compared with a manual geyser left on a fixed flame, and it stops the water overheating.
What 10/12 gauge means
The 10/12 in the name is the gauge of the steel sheet used for the water tank. Gauge works in reverse: the lower the number, the thicker the steel. Thicker steel copes better with water pressure and resists rust and leakage for longer, which is what decides how many winters a geyser lasts. This is the super heavy tank in the MA range.
