MA 65 Gallon Gas Geyser – MPG-65
The MA 65 Gallon Gas Geyser (MPG-65) is a manual, gas-fired storage water heater with a 10/12 gauge steel tank. It is the simplest and most affordable model in the 65 gallon range: you light it and set the flame yourself, and there is very little that can go wrong with it.
How it works
This is a gas-only geyser with manual controls. You light the burner and adjust the flame by hand, and the temperature meter on the front shows how hot the water is. There are no electrical parts, so it works without electricity and is easy and inexpensive to maintain.
What 10/12 gauge means
The 10/12 in the name is the gauge of the steel sheet used for the water tank. Gauge works in reverse: the lower the number, the thicker the steel. Thicker steel copes better with water pressure and resists rust and leakage for longer, which is what decides how many winters a geyser lasts. This is the super heavy tank in the MA range.
